BOOKING FOR ENTRY TICKETS, CAMPING, TRADE & CAR BOOT

DAILY ENTRANCE TICKET: Day Ticket includes Museum Collection & Swiss Garden

You can buy your entry tickets in advance, online (link below) or at the gate, in which case please be ready to show your membership card at the gate. Payment at the gate will be contactless.

CAMPING: £15 per unit, per night. Please reserve your space in advance, otherwise you may find the campsite is full when you arrive; pitches are not unlimited.

Campers can book either by phone or by completing an online form downloaded from www.shuttleworth.org/camping. Please ignore the prices on that website: ModelAir has negotiated special rates.

NB: the Camping Fee does not include your daily entrance; please book this in advance when booking your camping pitch.

Camping is available from 4pm on Friday until 10am on Monday, for ModelAir events. If you wish to stay on site later than 10am, please pack up and move to the car park area by 10am.will be available in marked out bays, appropriately spaced, in the same area as in September 2020, adjacent to the road past the College, and the new road.

Portaloos will be provided in this area, as well as across the whole site. There is also a point for drinking water, an Elsan point and an electricity point for charging (not for permanent connection). Please note that neither the toilet block nor the Elsan point behind the hangars, is available. The standpipe in that area is available.

NB: Only gas-fired barbeques are allowed in the camping.

TRADE & CAR BOOT: Both trade and car boot/table top pitches must be booked in advance, please, otherwise you risk being turned away!

TRADERS: registration documentation will be sent by email. Please complete and return as soon as possible and at least 14 days before the event. If you have not previously had a Trade pitch at a ModelAir event, please email modelair.oldwarden@gmail.com for information.

CAR BOOT: Please register at least 14 days in advance by completing and returning the relevant Car Boot Booking Form – links below – and returning them by email to modelair.oldwarden@gmail.com or by post to the address on the form. We will then send your vehicle permit by post; this must be clearly visible in your vehicle when on site.

Car boot fee is at the reduced rate of £20 /day, payable in cash each day.

Pilots who have already have an entry ticket and wish to book a pitch, please contact Sheila.

“Car-booters” wishing to camp overnight, please register for camping; Shuttleworth does not allow overnight camping in the trade area.

TRADE AREA: Following feedback in September 2020, the trade area has been relocated adjacent to the end of the Free Flight area, where it meets the No-Fly buffer zone between FF and RC.  This is the area adjacent to the Old Warden MFC flying area. Be assured that pitches will be arranged to ensure spacing according to government guidelines.

Set-up is permitted from Friday morning: gates open for Traders and Car Boot at 7.15 am.
