BMFA CERTIFICATE TEST DAYS


 

2011 is our fourth year of ModelAir A & B Certificate Test Days. and we are delighted to be able to offer A & B Certificate Test Days on FRIDAY 6th MAY 2011 and FRIDAY 22nd JULY 2011. 





BOOKING:



If you would like the opportunity to take your A or B test at Old Warden Airfield on 6th May or 22nd July please either...


  • telephone Sheila Sheppard (07799 132999 - office hours) to request an application form by post; or

  • email info@modelair.info to request an application form by post - please include your full name and postal address, and state the date you wish to take your test; or

  • download the application form from this website: Booking Forms. You can save the form to your computer, print it out, complete it and post it.

  • send your completed form to the address on the form, no later than 1st April 2011 (for the May event) or 12th June for the July event, and

  • enclose your cheque for £10.00 - payable to M REYNOLDS. 

Please note:


  • Your booking documentation includes the Candidate Information given below.

  • The £10 fee is to cover Examiners' travel costs.

  • We can only accept advance bookings.

  • Applications will be accepted on a FIRST COME FIRST SERVED basis.

IMPORTANT:  Well before Test Day, familiarise yourself with the Candidate Information below and practice in the company of an experienced pilot who can critically appraise your flying to the relevant test schedule standard and advise you of areas of necessary improvement.

CANCELLATIONS: If you need to cancel your booking, please do so as soon as you can to allow another applicant to take your place. If you cancel less than 7 days prior to the Test Day, we regret that we cannot refund your fee.

CANDIDATE INFORMATION


You are required to bring proof of BMFA  Membership and Insurance with you to show the examiner on the day.


Test Requirements


Please refer to your BMFA Handbook or see the Handbook on the BMFA website and familiarise yourself with the requirements of the test you wish to take. 


Be advised that the tests will follow the schedules exactly as specified in the BMFA handbook.


We recommend that before test day you practice in the company of an experienced pilot who can critically appraise your flying standard and advise areas of necessary improvement.

Test Questions


You are advised to also read the appropriate sections in the handbook as described under the heading “The Test Questions”.


 


What the Examiner will be looking for


We recommend that as well as studying the test schedule and the section on test questions, you should also read the section “Test Standards for Examiners” (see Test Standards and Guidance) as this will help you understand what they will be looking for before, during and after your test.
